Details

I carved these prints in Summer, when the ferns had unfurled and were strikingly green. What an unmistakable silhouette a fern makes. This lino block took some patience to carve but I enjoyed the meditative practice of noticing the rhythm in it's repeating pattern.

These prints are a deep forest green. They are made on beautiful Japanese handmade paper, which has a translucent quality where you can see all the natural fibres. It also features a deckled edge that makes each piece feel truly special. These prints measure approximately 8x10 inches at the widest points, though there may be small variations due to the qualities of the handmade paper.

My artwork is hand printed in small batches, so please allow for subtle variations in colour and ink markings. Each print is truly unique. Produced as an open edition.

Packaging and Delivery

Your print is unframed and will arrive in a compostable cello sleeve with a grey board backing to keep it safe and beautifully presented. I also attach a gift tag so it makes a lovely, ready‑to‑gift package if you're treating someone special.*

Prints are posted in a sturdy board‑backed envelope, and all packaging is fully recyclable, so kind to your artwork and the environment.

*If you buy more than one print, I bind them together. If you want them separate, please let me know at checkout or message me.

how to care for your print

To keep your linocut print looking its best, store or display it away from direct sunlight, moisture and extreme temperatures, as these can cause fading or warping over time.

If you’re not framing it right away, keep it flat in its protective sleeve or between clean sheets of acid‑free paper.

When framing, use a mount or mat to prevent the print from touching the glass. Paper with deckled edges looks particularly impressive when float mounted (a picture-framing technique where artwork is mounted on top of a backing board rather than hidden behind a traditional mount or mat).

With just a little care, your handmade print will stay beautiful for many years to come.
